Use iCloud+ with your family
With Family Sharing, everyone in your Family Sharing group can share an iCloud+ plan, including premium features and all the storage you need with a single subscription.
Share an iCloud+ subscription
Before getting started, make sure you’ve set up a Family Sharing group. See the Apple Support article Set up Family Sharing.
Do any of the following:
On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch: Do one of the following:
iOS 16, iPadOS 16 or later: Go to Settings > Family. Tap Subscriptions, tap iCloud+, then follow the onscreen instructions.
iOS 15, iPadOS 15 or earlier: Go to Settings > [your name] > Family Sharing. Tap iCloud Storage, then follow the onscreen instructions.
On your Mac: Do one of the following:
macOS 13 or later: Choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Family in the sidebar. Click Subscriptions, click iCloud+, then click Share with Family.
macOS 12 or earlier: Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Family Sharing. Click iCloud Storage, click Share, then follow the onscreen instructions.
iCloud+ premium features
When you use iCloud+ with your family, you can do the following:
Share 50GB, 200GB, 2TB, 6TB, or 12TB of storage, so everyone has enough space for their photos, documents, and iOS and iPadOS backups.
Protect everyone’s Safari browsing with Private Relay and personal email addresses with Hide My Email.
Add a custom email domain to use with with iCloud Mail. Each family member can create up to three active email addresses.
Use HomeKit Secure Video to add home security cameras to the Home app. Store your footage and view it from anywhere.
Additional ways you can share with iCloud
You can also use iCloud to do the following:
Use iCloud Shared Photo Library to share photos and videos.
Use iCloud Drive to share files or collaborate on documents.
Create a shared calendar and add important family events.
Use Reminders to create a shared shopping or to-do list.
Share locations so you can find family members on a map and locate lost devices.
Note: Not all iCloud+ features are available in all countries or regions. Some iCloud features have minimum system requirements. See the Apple Support article System requirements for iCloud.
