See recently used apps, files, and servers
Your recently used apps, files, and servers are listed in the Apple menu. Quickly reopen an app or file, or reconnect to a server from the menu.
Reopen items
Reopen an app or file: Choose Apple menu > Recent Items, then choose the item from the Applications or Documents section.
Reconnect to a server: Choose Apple menu > Recent Items, then choose the server from the Servers section of the submenu.
Change the number of items listed
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click General.
Click the Recent Items pop-up menu, then choose a number.
To clear the “Recent items” menu, choose Apple menu > Recent Items > Clear Menu.
