Switch quickly between Apple TV apps
You can quickly switch between different apps on Apple TV without having to return to the Home Screen. App-switching view on Apple TV works very much like the multitasking feature on iPhone or iPad. If an app isn’t working right, you can force it to quit and then open it again from the Home Screen.
Switch between apps or force an app to quit
On the Siri Remote, press the TV button twice quickly.
Windows representing each of the open apps appear in a row on the screen.
In app-switching view, navigate to a different app in the center of the screen, then do either of the following:
Switch to the highlighted app: Press the clickpad center (Siri Remote 2nd generation or later) or touch surface (Siri Remote 1st generation).
Force the highlighted app to quit: Swipe up on the clickpad or touch surface.
To leave app-switching view without changing apps, press the Back button (Siri Remote 2nd generation or later) or button (Siri Remote 1st generation).
