Change Live Captions settings for accessibility on Mac
On your Mac, use Live Captions (Beta) settings to turn Live Captions on or off, control how captions are styled, and turn them on or off in FaceTime. Learn how to use Live Captions.
To change these settings, choose Apple menu 
in the sidebar, then click Live Captions (Beta) on the right. (You may need to scroll down.)

Note: Live Captions is currently in beta. Live Captions is only available on Mac computers with Apple silicon, and is not available in all languages, countries, or regions. The accuracy of Live Captions may vary and should not be relied upon in high-risk or emergency situations.
Option | Description |

Live Captions | Turn Live Captions on or off. |
Font family | Choose a font for live captions. Use the default or choose a preferred font from the list. |
Font size | Increase or decrease the text size of live captions. |
Font color | Choose a font color for live captions. Use the default or choose Custom to set a preferred color. |
Background color | Choose a background color for the Live Captions window. Use the default or choose Custom to set a preferred color. |
Live Captions in FaceTime | Turn Live Captions on or off for FaceTime. |
