MULTINOMIAL
The MULTINOMIAL function returns the multinomial coefficient of the given numbers. It accomplishes this by determining the ratio of the factorial of the sum of the given numbers to the product of the factorials of the given numbers.
MULTINOMIAL(non-neg-num, non-neg-num…)
non-neg-num: A number value. non-neg-num must be greater than or equal to 0.
non-neg-num…: Optionally include one or more additional number values.
Notes
If any of the argument values supplied are decimals, they’re truncated to integers.

=MULTINOMIAL(2) returns 1. The factorial of 2 is 2. The product of 1 and 2 is 2. The ratio of 2:2 is 1. =MULTINOMIAL(1, 2, 3) returns 60. The factorial of the sum of 1, 2, and 3 is 720. The product of the factorials of 1, 2, and 3 is 12. The ratio of 720:12 is 60. =MULTINOMIAL(4, 5, 6) returns 630,630. The factorial of the sum of 4, 5, and 6 is 1.30767E+12. The product of the factorials of 4, 5, and 6 is 2073600. The ratio of 1.30767E+12:2073600 is 630630. |
