MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021) Display Hinge Covers

Before You Begin

Remove the following parts before you begin:

Tools

  • ESD-safe tweezers

  • Torx T5 screwdriver

Removal

  1. Use the T5 screwdriver to remove the two T5 screws (923-06853) from each display hinge cover.

  2. Use ESD-safe tweezers to remove the two display hinge covers from the top case.

Reassembly

  1. Use ESD-safe tweezers to position the two display hinge covers in the top case.

    • Important: Ensure that the top edge of each display hinge cover sits under the top edge of the top case.

  2. Use the T5 screwdriver to reinstall two T5 screws (923-06853) into each display hinge cover.
