Store your folders with a third party on Mac
You can automatically store your Desktop and Documents folders in iCloud Drive. Or you can choose to automatically store them with a third-party app or cloud service, if available.
Store your Desktop and Documents folders with a third party
On your Mac, install the third-party app or cloud service.
Click in the Dock to open a Finder window.
Choose Finder > Settings, then click General.
Turn on Sync Desktop & Documents folders with [third-party name].
Your Desktop and Documents folders are moved into the third-party app or cloud service, and appear in the Finder sidebar on your Mac.
Stop storing your Desktop and Documents folders with a third party
On your Mac, click in the Dock to open a Finder window.
Choose Finder > Settings, then click General.
Turn off Sync Desktop & Documents folders with [third-party name].
The items are removed from the Desktop and Documents folders, but they remain available in the third-party app or cloud service. New items added to your Desktop or your Documents folders are no longer stored with the third party.
