Pair an Apple wireless keyboard, mouse or trackpad with Mac
To use your Apple keyboard, mouse or trackpad wirelessly with Bluetooth, you first need to connect the device with your Mac.
When you connect a Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad to your Mac, the device automatically pairs with your Mac by using Bluetooth.
Connect the Lightning end of a USB-C to Lightning Cable or a Lightning to USB Cable to your keyboard, mouse or trackpad, and then connect the other end to the USB-C or USB port on your Mac.
Note: Depending on your Mac, you may need an adapter, which is available from an Apple Store or on apple.com.
Turn the device on and make sure the power switch is green.
You receive a notification when you can disconnect the cable and use your device wirelessly.
Note: You must disconnect your Magic Mouse to use it with your Mac. You can use your Magic Keyboard or Magic Trackpad while it’s connected to your Mac.
