Use iCloud Photos in iCloud for Windows version 7
If you are using iCloud for Windows version 7, you can set up and use iCloud Photos on your PC.

To get the latest version of iCloud for Windows, use the Microsoft Store. See the Apple Support article Download iCloud for Windows.
Set up Photos
On your Windows computer, open iCloud for Windows, then select Photos.
Select the photos features you want to use. If you are not prompted to turn on features, click the Options button next to Photos.
If you want to change the location where your photos and videos are stored, click Change next to the feature.
Click Done, then click Apply.
Download and view photos
When you turn on iCloud Photos in iCloud for Windows version 7, new photos and videos you add to iCloud on other devices are automatically downloaded to your PC. If a photo or video is changed on another device or on iCloud.com, you need to download it again to see the updates.
You can manually download older photos and videos by year.
On your Windows computer, open File Explorer or Windows Explorer, then click iCloud Photos in the Navigation pane.
If you do not see iCloud Photos, click Pictures in the Navigation pane, then double-click iCloud Photos.
Double-click the Downloads folder (or the location you chose during setup).
You see any photos or videos added to iCloud Photos after you set it up on your PC.
To see photos and videos that were added before you set up iCloud Photos, click “Download photos and videos” in the Windows Explorer toolbar, choose the photos and videos you want to download, then click Download.
Upload photos and videos
On your Windows computer, open File Explorer or Windows Explorer, then click iCloud Photos in the Navigation pane.
If you do not see iCloud Photos, click Pictures in the Navigation pane, then double-click iCloud Photos.
Do one of the following:
Drag photos and videos to the Uploads folder (or the location you chose during setup).
Click “Upload photos and videos” in the Windows Explorer toolbar.
Delete photos and videos
On your Windows computer, open File Explorer or Windows Explorer, then click iCloud Photos in the Navigation pane.
If you do not see iCloud Photos, click Pictures in the Navigation pane, then double-click iCloud Photos.
Double-click the Downloads folder.
Select the photos or videos you want to delete, then press the Delete key.
The files are removed from your PC but are still stored in iCloud Photos. You must download them again if you want to see them in your iCloud Photos folder.
