Intro to generators in Final Cut Pro for iPad
A Final Cut Pro for iPad subscription includes a number of downloadable generator clips that you can use to add animated backgrounds, shapes, and more to your project.
Generators create graphical elements such as color backgrounds, bars, stripes, noise, or gradients. Some generators create animated patterns. However, most generators default to static, patterned images that you can animate. Two common types of generators are backgrounds and objects.
Background clips include animated patterns and other abstract graphics, as well as static solid and gradient backdrops. Many of the backgrounds are HDR clips with intense colors. You can combine backgrounds with titles to create bumpers, intros, credits, and more.
Object clips include basic shapes that have an alpha channel, so they can be superimposed over other timeline clips.
After you add a generator clip to the timeline, you can modify its settings in the inspector. Additionally, you can animate generator clip settings with keyframes.
