Timecode

A signal recorded with your video that uniquely identifies each frame. By default, timecode appears in Final Cut Pro in the format hours: minutes: seconds: frames. When you zoom in to the timeline far enough, subframe units appear in the timecode display below the viewer. Timecode supports a variety of functions in Final Cut Pro, including timeline playback and syncing video and audio.
