Change the way you travel
iPhone makes traveling a breeze—use Maps to scout locations before your trip, and make collections of must-see attractions. Before you leave for the airport, check your flight status and terminal location. While you’re traveling, keep credit cards and travel passes organized and secure in Wallet. When you get home, use Photos to view and share your memories with friends.
Organize must-see places
Create a collection in Maps to keep track of the places you want to visit on your trip. To get started, find a place in Maps you want to visit, swipe up, then tap “Add to.” Tap New Collection, then give the collection a name. Continue adding places to the collection, or make new collections for different activities, such as restaurants you want to try, local attractions you want to visit, or neighborhoods you want to explore. When a collection is complete, tap to share it with your fellow travelers.
Check your flight status
Reduce stress by checking the status of your flight before you leave for the airport. You can confirm your departure time, get the gate location, and check other flight information. Swipe down from the middle of the Home screen, enter your flight number in the search field, then select your flight in the search results.
Keep cards and passes in one place
Use Wallet to keep track of credit cards, boarding passes, tickets, and transit cards while you travel. Look for the Add to Apple Wallet option on websites, in emails, or in text messages. Some passes in Wallet appear automatically based on the time or your location. For example, when you arrive at the airport, boarding passes for your flight appear on your iPhone screen.
Relive the memories
Use Photos to find pictures and videos from a trip. Tap Photos, then tap Months to see your photos organized by trips and significant events. Tap to play a movie of the trip or to share photos and videos with friends and family. You can also quickly search for photos—just tap Search, type something in the search field like “California 2016” or “camping,” then select a result.
