A group of one or more transcode presets plus a post-transcoding job action, identified with the destination icon . When you use a destination to transcode a file, one or more new files are created according to the preset specifications and then a job action is performed on the transcoded file.

Compressor comes with a number of built-in destinations. You can also create your own custom destinations.
