Rate a location in Maps on Mac
You can rate places you visit and share photos to help others. This feature isn’t available in all countries or regions.
Note: To report an issue, you must have a Mac with Apple silicon, the Apple T2 Security Chip or a Touch Bar. See the Apple Support articles Mac computers with Apple silicon and Mac models with the Apple T2 Security Chip.
Provide ratings and photos
In the Maps app on your Mac, click a location on a map.
In the place card, click Rate.
If the Rate button isn’t available, you can’t rate that location or add a photo.
Click or for the Overall rating.
If available, you can also rate more specific qualities, such as Products or Customer Service.
Click Add Your Photos, choose the photos you want to add, then click Add.
Click Done.
To upload your photos to Apple, you must have an Apple ID.
View or edit your ratings and photos
In the Maps app on your Mac, click the User Account button in the toolbar.
Click Ratings & Photos.
To change your ratings or add or remove photos, click a location in the Ratings and Photos card, click You Rated in the place card that appears, make your changes, then click Done.
Your ratings and photos appear on all devices where you’re signed in with the same Apple ID.
You may receive suggestions in Maps to submit a rating or photo if you recently visited or took a photo of a point of interest. These suggestions use on-device processing and cannot be read by Apple. If you wish to stop receiving these suggestions, choose Maps > Settings, click Ratings & Photos, then deselect Show Ratings and Photos Suggestions.
