Use your Mac as a speaker
You can use AirPlay to stream audio or video from another Apple device to your Mac. Use AirDrop & Handoff settings to designate who can AirPlay to your Mac.
On your Apple device, open an audio or video app, such as Podcasts or Music, then choose the item you want to play.
Click the AirPlay button, which looks like or , depending on the app, then choose your Mac as your playback destination.
You may be asked to enter a four-digit code on your Mac. When your Mac is connected, the Now Playing icon appears in the menu bar. You can play, pause or skip from your Mac.
