Notify a friend when your location changes in Find My on Mac
In the Find My app on your Mac, you can let a friend know when your location changes or see all notifications set about you.
Tip: You can also get notified when a friend’s location changes.
Notify a friend when your location changes
In the Find My app on your Mac, click People.
In the People list, select a name, then click the Info button on the map.
Below Notifications, click Add, then choose Notify [Friend].
Choose whether you want to notify your friend when you arrive at or leave a location.
Choose your current location, your friend’s current location or click New Location to create a new location and set a location radius.
With a larger radius, your friend is notified when you’re close to the location instead of right at the location.
Choose whether you want your friend to be notified only once or every time your location changes.
Click Add.
See all notifications about you
In the Find My app on your Mac, click People, then click Me.
Click the Info button on the map.
Below Notifications About You is a list of people who are notified when your location changes.
If you don’t see the Notifications About You section, you aren’t notifying any friends when your location changes.
Select a name to see more details.
You can change or turn off Find My notifications at any time.
Note: Location sharing and finding people aren’t available in all countries or regions.
