Option | Description |
---|---|
Show multiple items | Show items to the left and right of the VoiceOver cursor on the braille display. For example, toolbar buttons around the button that’s in the VoiceOver cursor are shown. When this option is selected, the option to use dots 7 and 8 to indicate the VoiceOver cursor is also selected, so that you know which item is in the cursor. If you deselect this option, only the item in the VoiceOver cursor is shown on the braille display. The option to use dots 7 and 8 to indicate the VoiceOver cursor is also deselected as it’s no longer needed. |
Use dots 7 and 8 to indicate VoiceOver cursor | Raise dots 7 and 8 to indicate the position of the VoiceOver cursor. This option is selected by default. |
Use word wrap | Words that don’t fit on the current braille line are moved to the next line after you pan, instead of being broken across multiple lines. This option is selected by default. If you use a smaller braille display or work with content that includes many long words, it may be helpful to unselect this option. |
Show alert messages for duration | Drag the slider left or right to control how long alerts, such as notifications or VoiceOver announcements are shown on the braille display. |
Ignore Chord Duration | Drag the slider left or right to control how quickly VoiceOver recognises a chord as a command after you enter the chord. |
Auto Advance Duration | Set how many seconds VoiceOver pauses before automatically advancing to the next line when you pan lines on a braille display. To easily turn auto advance on or off as needed, you can assign the Toggle Auto Advance On or Off command to a key on your braille display. See Assign VoiceOver commands to braille display keys. |
