Use your keyboard like a mouse with Mac
You can use your keyboard to perform many of the same actions you perform using the mouse, such as navigating to or selecting menus, icons, and items in windows and dialogues. With full keyboard access, you use the Tab key and arrow keys to navigate to items on the screen, and the Space bar to select an item.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Keyboard, then click Shortcuts.
Do any of the following:
To navigate only to text boxes and lists on the screen, select “Text boxes and lists only.”
To navigate to all controls on the screen, select “All controls.”
You can also use VoiceOver, the spoken interface in macOS, to navigate to, hear, and interact with every control and item on the screen.
