Add video and audio in Keynote for iCloud
You can add video and audio to a presentation. When viewing your presentation, you can click the play button on the video or audio object to watch it or listen to it. You can also add video or audio descriptions that can be read by assistive technology (for example, VoiceOver).
Note: Video and audio files must be in a format that QuickTime supports on your Mac computer or Windows device. If you can’t add or play a video or audio file, on a Mac, try using iMovie, QuickTime Player, or Compressor to convert the file to a QuickTime file (with a .mov filename extension) for video, or an MPEG-4 file (with a .m4a filename extension) for audio. On a Windows device, try using QuickTime to convert the file to an MP4 or M4A file.
Add video or audio
Do one of the following:
Drag a video or audio file from your computer to anywhere on a slide. You can also copy and paste it from your computer into your presentation.
Click the Media button in the toolbar, click Choose Media, browse to find the video or audio file you want to add, then double-click it.
Tip: To search for a file, click the magnifying glass in the upper-right corner of the media window.
Replace video or audio
Add a video or audio description
You can add a description to any video or audio in your presentation. Video and audio descriptions are read by assistive technology (for example, VoiceOver) when someone uses that technology to access your presentation. (The descriptions aren’t visible in your presentation.)
Click to select the video or audio in your presentation.
In the Format sidebar on the right, click the Movie or Audio tab.
Click the Description text box, then enter a description.
If you download your presentation as a PDF, the descriptions are still readable by assistive technology. See Download a presentation.
