Authorise your Mac to get books purchased from the Apple Books Book Store
If you purchase books from the Book Store in Apple Books on other devices, you can see those books on your Mac by authorising your computer. You can authorise up to five computers and iOS devices to use with your Apple ID account.
Authorise your computer
In the Books app
on your Mac, choose Store > Authorise This Computer.If you haven’t already, sign in using the same Apple ID you use on your other devices.
Deauthorise your computer
Be sure to deauthorise your Mac before you sell it, give it away, send it in for service or make major hardware upgrades.
In the Books app
on your Mac, choose Store > De-authorise This Computer.
