Share items with Classroom
You can navigate to, and share, the following with students:
Webpages
EPUB books or chapters
PDFs
Any ClassKit-enabled app bookmarks (Student iPad-only)
“Enable Student Progress” must be turned on in Apple School Manager.
To complete this task, you and the students must all have the same EPUB book or PDF in the Books app on your devices.
Navigate multiple students to Safari or Apple Books
In Classroom
, select a class in the sidebar.
Do one of the following:
Select All Students in the sidebar.
Select a specific group in the sidebar.
Manually create a group, then select it in the sidebar.
Click Select in the upper-right corner of the screen, select specific students, then click Done.
In the row of actions, click the Navigate button
, then do one of the following:Click Safari, locate the bookmark you want the students to view.
Click the Books app, then locate the EPUB book, EPUB chapter, or PDF you want the students to view.
If you want to open the item on your device, click “Go to [Name of item] on this [Mac][iPad].”
If you didn’t open the item on your device, click it to open it on the students’ devices, then click Done.
Navigate a single student to Safari or Apple Books
In Classroom
, select a class in the sidebar.Select the student.
The Actions window appears.
Click the Navigate button
, then do one of the following:Click Safari, locate the bookmark you want the student to view.
Click the Books app, then locate the EPUB book, EPUB chapter, or PDF you want the student to view.
If you want to open the item on your device, click “Go to [Name of item] on this [Mac][iPad].”
If you didn’t open the item on your device, click it to open it on the student’s device, then click Done.
Share links directly from Safari
You can share a webpage with students directly from Safari.
In Classroom
, select a class in the sidebar.Do one of the following:
Select All Students in the sidebar.
Select a specific group in the sidebar.
Manually create a group, then select it in the sidebar.
Click Select in the upper-right corner of the screen, select specific students, then click Done.
Navigate to the webpage you want in Safari.
Click Share
, select AirDrop, then select the group to share the webpage with.Click Done.
