Learn the meaning of the iPod touch status icons
The icons in the status bar at the top of the screen provide information about iPod touch.
Wi-Fi iPod touch is connected to the Internet over a Wi-Fi network. See Connect iPod touch to a Wi-Fi network. | |||||||||||
Network activity Shows that there’s network activity. Some third-party apps may also use this icon to indicate an active process. | |||||||||||
Syncing iPod touch is syncing with your computer. See Sync iPod touch with your computer. | |||||||||||
Airplane mode Airplane mode is on. Nonwireless features are available, but wireless functions may be disabled. See Choose iPod touch settings for travel. | |||||||||||
VPN You’re connected to a network using VPN. See Use VPN on iPod touch. | |||||||||||
Personal Hotspot iPod touch is connected to the Internet through the Personal Hotspot of another device. See Join a Personal Hotspot. | |||||||||||
