About cleaning your Beats Studio Buds, Beats Studio Buds +, and Beats Fit Pro
Your Beats Studio Buds, Beats Studio Buds +, and Beats Fit Pro earbuds are sweat and water resistant, but not sweatproof or waterproof. Clean your Beats Studio Buds, Beats Studio Buds +, and Beats Fit Pro earbuds and charging case if they come in contact with anything that might cause stains or other damage, such as dirt or sand, makeup, ink, soap, detergent, acids or acidic foods, or if they come in contact with liquids, including those that might lead to skin irritation such as sweat, salt water, soapy water, pool water, perfume, insect repellent, lotions, sunscreen, oil, adhesive remover, hair dye, or solvents.
Avoid damaging your Beats Studio Buds, Beats Studio Buds +, and Beats Fit Pro when you clean them:
Make sure not to get any liquid in the openings.
Don’t dry your Beats Studio Buds, Beats Studio Buds +, Beats Fit Pro, or charging case using an external heat source (for example, a hair dryer).
Don’t use cleaning products or compressed air.
Don't use sharp objects or abrasive materials.
Don’t insert a foreign object into the USB-C connector on the charging case (for example, a cotton swab or a paper towel).
Clean your Beats Studio Buds, Beats Studio Buds +, and Beats Fit Pro
Remove your Beats Studio Buds, Beats Studio Buds +, or Beats Fit Pro earbuds from the charging case.
Disconnect the charging cable from both the charging case and your computer or power adapter.
To clean the charging contacts on Beats Studio Buds, Beats Studio Buds +, or Beats Fit Pro, use a cotton swab slightly dampened with warm water. To clean the charging pins on the charging case, use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with warm water. Care for the USB-C cable
Discoloration of the USB-C connector after regular use is normal. Dirt, debris, and exposure to moisture may cause discoloration. If your USB-C cable or connector becomes warm during use or the charging case won’t charge, disconnect it from your computer or power adapter and clean the connector with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use liquids or cleaning products when cleaning the connector.
