iPhone 15 Pro Bottom Speaker
Before You Begin
Warning
Read Battery Safety and follow workspace and battery handling guidelines before you begin.
Remove the following part before you begin:
Tools
6.1-inch repair tray
Adjustable torque driver (10–34 Ncm)
ESD-safe tweezers
JCIS bit
JCIS bit for adjustable torque driver
Nylon probe (black stick)
Torque driver (blue, 0.65 kgf cm)
Caution
Avoid touching the grounding springs on the bottom speaker.
Removal
Place the enclosure in the repair tray with the USB-C connector facing the cutout.
Use a torque driver and the JCIS bit to remove the four crosshead screws from the bottom speaker. Set aside the screws.
Use ESD-safe tweezers to grasp the center screw hole and slightly lift the speaker. Then use the flat end of the black stick to separate the battery shim from the top of the speaker.
Remove the bottom speaker from the enclosure.
Reassembly
Rotate the repair tray. Ensure that the rubber gasket is positioned as shown. If the gasket is misaligned, loose, or missing, use ESD-safe tweezers to realign or replace it.
Rotate the repair tray. Align the port on the bottom speaker with the rubber gasket. Then position the bottom speaker in the enclosure.
Set the torque on the 10–34 Nm adjustable torque driver to 13 Ncm. Use the adjustable torque driver and the adjustable torque driver JCIS bit to install one new crosshead screw on the top left (923-09563) (1) and another crosshead screw on the bottom right (923-09959) (2).
Set the torque on the adjustable torque driver to 10 Ncm. Use the adjustable torque driver and the adjustable torque driver JCIS bit to install one new crosshead screw on the top right (923-09959) (2).
Use the blue torque driver and JCIS bit to install one new crosshead screw (923-09565) (3).
Caution: Don't damage the grounding springs or airloops on the bottom speaker.
