The Ylläs fell is located between two villages, Ylläsjärvi and Äkäslompolo, and the slopes run from the top to both directions.
The slopes on the Äkäslompolo side offer perfect skiing conditions for all skills levels, along with spectacular views of the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. The slopes towards Ylläsjärvi are on the sunny, southern side of the fell, and the longest are up to three kilometres long.
