Privacy policy

This document describes what information is accessed or collected by Photographer’s companion and how it is used. It also describes use of Android permissions.

Photographer’s companion does not collect any app usage analytics.

1. Ads

The free version of Photographer’s companion displays ads using Google Admob. Cookies and other means (advertising ID) may be used by Google Admob to present personalized ads.

This does not apply to the paid version of Photographer’s companion Pro which removes ads entirely.

2. Anonymous crash reports

Whenever Photographer’s companion crashes, a crash report containing anonymous crash data is sent securely online, for fixing crashes and improve Photographer’s companion. A crash report is kept for a maximum of one month (starting from the submission date), after which it is permanently deleted.

3. iOS version permissions

Location when in use usage

This permission is used for tools requiring position (Sun, Moon, Milky Way). This permission is asked when a feature requires it.

4. Android version permissions

Use of permission READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

This permission is used to be able to access your song stored on external storage for countdown alarm. On Android Marshmallow and higher, this permission is asked when a feature requires it.

Use of permission WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

This permission is used for writing to external storage for caching map tiles. On Android Marshmallow and higher, this permission is asked when a feature requires it.

Use of permission ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

This permission is used for tools requiring position (Sun, Moon, Milky Way and planner). On Android Marshmallow and higher, this permission is asked when a feature requires it.

Use of permission CAMERA

This permission is used for augmented reality tools. On Android Marshmallow and higher, this permission is asked when a feature requires it.

5. Privacy Policy update

I make my best efforts to keep my Privacy Policy fully updated on a regular basis. If I make changes, they will be clearly and specifically identifiable as permitted in the relationship I have established with you.
