The JRC SciArt project brokers and curates transdisciplinary exchanges and encounters between art science and policy within the JRC and wider European Commission.
Established in 2016 in the Ispra (Italy) site of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission, the project brings together scientists, artists and policy-makers around matters of concern to the JRC, the European Commission and broader society.
It strives to create Resonances between art and science. Between scientific disciplines. Between art, science and policy. Between the European Commission and the public.
The SciArt project works on a local and global level, and transcends boundaries at a cultural, generational, disciplinary and institutional level.
