Ridecell + the Environment

It’s on us.

Sustainability is at the heart of our mission. In fact, it’s in our mission statement: Accelerate digitization and intelligent automation of mobility to create a more sustainable, safer, and productive future. But it’s more than words to us. It’s what drives our actions.

Environmental impact matters. Period.

We know smarter utilization of our resources is vital to our planet, which means better solutions benefit us all. That is why Ridecell 360 was designed with sustainability in mind, which translates to benefits for our ecosystem of customers and partners while we work to drive greener mobility solutions forward — for everyone.

EV Fleets Decrease Carbon Footprint

The overall carbon footprint of an electric vehicle’s lifecycle, which includes manufacturing, all mileage and charging, and decommissioning, is less than half of a comparable internal combustion engine car. (Source: EPA). This is precisely why we’re working hard to make EVs the fleets of the future.

Calculating the best route to sustainable mobility.

Ridecell connects customers, partners and investors to launch and scale sustainable fleets.

Ridecell 360 provides the data pipeline and APIs to tie together existing IT, fleet management, and connected vehicle systems. This turns your data insights into triggers for valuable workflow automations. These unify and amplify the systems you already have in place to create powerful workflows that optimize fleet operations.

Fleet automations use algorithms for intelligent routing, helping to optimize on-the-ground field work. Smarter routing means reducing CO2 emissions.

We help fleets solve and improve the most difficult and least sustainable parts of their business. Because it matters.

Our customers are committed to ensuring a shared and sustainable future.

KINTO Hydrogen Fueled, Sustainable Toyota Mirai

At KINTO, they believe everyone should have the freedom to move. Along with the evolution of our digital world and how fleets operate within it, another changing aspect is how people move. Cities are more congested. Lives are more connected. Aspirations are always changing. Which is why KINTO evolves alongside their customers, working to understand their wants and needs while offering services that help both customers and the environment.

In June 2020, KINTO Sweden launched a program to understand the behaviors of customers who don’t own a vehicle and their needs for a car sharing service. Their insights helped them learn what geographic areas saw the most traffic, offering a solution to remove unnecessary vehicles from the road and reduce CO2 emissions.

A critical part of the program centers around offering different types of vehicles for different needs – hybrid, hydrogen and electric vehicles (EVs). What began as a 40 environmentally-friendly vehicles has grown to 800, all used with the intent to give back to the environment. In fact, KINTO is the only car sharing company offering fuel cell vehicles that truly do give back – the emissions gathered during operation are cleaned and returned as water, contributing to healthier air quality.

As the program grows, one thing stays the same – KINTO Sweden’s commitment to being environmental stewards. Providing the right vehicle to the right customer at the right time helps them go “beyond zero”, reducing CO2 emissions while returning more good things to the world.
