I'm not sure we need to go that far. A PR that simply fixes the return types across the board is fine by me. |
I had no clue type checkers treat these different return types specially – TIL. |

can suppress exceptions (specifically,CancelledError
). Context managers which can suppress exceptions should have their__exit__
typed as returningbool
and notbool | None
- the latter is treated as non-suppressing context manager.Trio's
CancelScope.__exit__
is already typed as returningbool
