It was a picturesque day at the beach. Immaculate white sand, crystal clear sky and water, and best of all, absolutely no 100-foot-tall succubus on a voracious rampage. That last point was of particular importance to Ranzi, as she lounged contentedly upon a beach towel, basking her deeply tan, voluptuous, bikini-clad figure in the warming sun. And considering the repeated, televised visits one such entity had made to her world, it was far from an outlandish concern. Everyone knew about 'Vaetynne the Silver Succubus', and the numerous hapless citizens she had devoured alive in her several visits. All attempts to drive her off – or even annoy her – had seemingly failed, leaving the world in the awkward position of just tolerating her incursions, much to the dismay of many citizens. The ancient, sprawling ruins of Ur-Sagol were a common starting-place for new and inexperienced adventurers. Partly because, despite being long-since abandoned by the original builders, even the wild nature of Felarya was slow to reclaim the land. But far more important, was the Gate. Seemingly indestructible, magically defended from predators, and able to connect to anywhere in the universe, it was one of the most accessible ways to enter and leave Felarya. The downside, of course, was that the ruins of Ur-Sagol had been picked over countless times – the most valuable treasures and artifacts discovered and carried off long ago. Inna Shire was hungry – she had missed breakfast and lunch already – but for the moment she needed to wait. A being often referred to as a 'giantess' by smaller creatures, Inna's specific species was known commonly as a 'slug-girl'. Her upper-half was human-like in appearance, with pretty dark red hair, a slightly rounded face, and a healthy feminine figure with full, rather prominent breasts.  Below the waist, her body transitioned into a large, wide slug-foot, hence the common name. She was dressed for warm weather, in a form-fitting dark green tank-top, cut low to accentuate the generous curve of her breasts. The early-evening forest where Inna waited was comfortably warm and verdant, with beautiful, thick foliage and enormous, majestic trees everywhere.  Night insects chirping away pleasantly.  It was so nice she didn't even mind that the tourists she would be guiding were late. The air was hot and heavy with humidity. Wet, thorny fronds pulled at clothing and hair, while insects buzzed in Naora's ears, trying to distract from the task at hand. Evening in the Bulvon Wood brought with it a symphony of chirping insets and croaking amphibians. The misty, marshy terrain was dotted with tiny pale lights – floating and hovering amidst the reeds and shrubs, each one a miniscule insect capable of generating its own light. Pipril liked evenings a great deal, and this one was no different. Early evening also happened to be an excellent time to check her slime-traps – daytime creatures were most hampered by the dimness as they looked for a place to rest, while the nocturnal ones were only just waking up, and similarly ill-suited to the twilight. A giant slug-girl, Pipril was a somewhat unusual specimen: while her top half was fairly typical – that of a lovely blonde woman, her wide slug-foot was a green & brown affair with an abundance of camouflaging moss and lichens that clung to the thicker skin thereabout.
