After ADEME and Groupe Bel, we meet again for a new episode of the podcast On The Way.

Forget the traditional bakeries, Land&Monkeys arrives and shakes the codes! This 100% vegan bakery not only offers tasty products, it reinvents the 21st century business model by placing sustainability and plants at the heart of its activity.

Meet Rodolphe Landemaine, the visionary at the helm of Land&Monkeys. A successful baker and founder of Maison Landemaine bakeries, he decided to take on a new challenge: create a 100% plant-based bakery that combines taste pleasure, respect for the environment and a positive impact on the planet. On the menu? Breads, pastries and snacks 100% vegetable made with quality ingredients, without any compromise on taste.

When fun and sustainability meet in Land&Monkeys

But that’s not all! Land&Monkeys is also committed to:

  • Reducing its environmental impact by minimizing waste and favouring local supply chains.
  • Supporting sustainable agriculture by collaborating with producers committed to environmentally friendly practices.
  • Promoting a healthier and more accessible diet by offering quality vegan products at affordable prices.

Through this bakery, we are reminded that to have fun above all goes through the plate! It is through gluttony and the joy of sharing a good meal that we can convince and inspire as many people as possible. Every food choice counts for the planet, a flexitarian diet, with twelve vegetarian meals and two meat meals a week, can make a real difference.

Curious about Land&Monkeys’ plant innovation?

Don’t wait any longer, listen to the episode of On The Way with Rodolphe Landemaine on all your favorite listening platforms.

All other episodes are also to discover right here.

Enjoy!

Unique, anchored in pop culture and associated with an iconic mascot, our brands need to evolve regularly to be in line with the changing world in which we operate.

A new phase of evolution took place this year! A substantial work carried out jointly with 8 countries (Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK) and our business teams.

A necessary project

That is why we have started this project on our Cetelem brands, with several objectives in mind:

  • Be fully connected with the real lives of our customers, be at the heart of our partners’ activity and stick to the expectations of our employees
  • Modernize our brand with a more up-to-date color palette, illustrations, icons, new mascot poses and new this year: emojis!
  • Adapt ourselves to new digital and marketing channels

We are very proud of the result that capitalize on both strong local brands (Cetelem, Findomestic Banca, AlphaCredit, Creation, Consors Finance BNP Paribas) and the power of BNP Paribas Personal Finance in order to succeed in the dual challenge of developing local activities and our major international partnerships.

Brandbook new assets in motion!

While waiting for our first debrief, discover our teaser for this edition…

Debrief 1 – Mobility

We are live at VIVATECH with our first debrief, following our expert for the day: Flavien Neuvy, senior economist at BNP Paribas Personal Finance. Today we are talking about mobility from every angle.

A decarbonated mobility

Of course, several manufacturers are here to present their latest model of electric vehicles with new features powered by AI. But that’s not really what kept our attention, here at VIVATECH.

Mobility to fight against medical desert – U1st vision

Software République an open innovation system for a smarter, safer and responsible mobility, has presented, for the very first time, their project U1st vision. The result of 22 companies and startups (including Renault, Thales and Orange), working together to define a new ways of medical services. A small truck, fully equipped with all the necessary medical equipments, able to deliver a diagnosis, a follow-up of certain disease or taking the vitals. For example, it will be possible, thanks to EssilorLuxottica, to realize an optical diagnosis thanks to a software that is using virtual distance, instead of real distance as if you were going to your usual ophtalmologist.

U1st vision will be deployed by the beginning of 2025 and will certainly be one of the great solution to fight against medical desert in the near future.

Mobility in the air

Lots of startups are presenting their innovations, projects, and ideas with drones. We have seen drones in the past editions but this year we can definitely see that this sector is accelerating and great projects are already live. Again, the medical sector is one of the sector that has many issues to solve, and drones car adress a lot of them.

We noted the Wingcopter that is presenting its The Wingcopter 198, the delivery drone for healthcare logistics. It is impressive to see how drones are now very used to answer medical issues, here the wingcopter is already operating in Malawi, Vanuatu, Germany or Japan, delivering medicines, to those who need it. An impressive engine that can fly up to 90km/h and carry 25kg.

CYBERTRUCK by Tesla

Impossible to miss this huge guy when you are walking around VIVATECH. 6 meters long and 2 meters wide, easy to say that the Cybertruck is taking up the space. Cybertruck is the attraction of the mobility area, there are always so many people around this new TESLA model, taking selfies with the vehicles and trying to see what’s inside, even if being able to sit in is reserved for media and journalists. Anyways, this overdimensioned Cybertruck will definitely find its place in the North American market but it is hard to imagine it rolling on our europeans roads in a near future…

Debrief in video

Debrief 2 – Retail

Here we go, still live from Vivatech, Grégory Desfosses takes us along the busy alleys of Vivatech for a second debrief, focused on Retail.

At Vivatech, there is not so many big retailer present, other than FNAC Darty. However, two mastodonts are taking up the space of the Hall 1: L’Oréal & LVMH ones. On these two stands, one key word: personalization. Indeed, both of companies, from the same Group, are opting for the same hyper personnalization strategy. From hair diagnosis to outfit relooking, through skin evaluation, generative artificial intelligence is the vendor’s best friend to create unique buying recommendation for the customer.

The second axis very present this edition is obviously digital. We see it in every corner of every stand, generative AI is everywhere and should make marketers and communicants gain a lot of time during content creation tasks. In 2 or 3 clics only and with as simple prompt, you can create from A to Z a 360 media campaign, ready-to-use in all formats, for all canals. It is at least Typeface.ai’s promise that is doing amazing demos on it stand.

In short, if you mix personalization and generative AI, you will master the future of retail.

Global debrief

In short terms

That’s a wrap ! VIVATECH 2024 is (already) over and those who were lucky enough to walk around the aisles of Paris Expo during these 3 days are leaving this event with great memories, new connections, and deep knowledge about what is going on in the tech sphere. Elisabeth Menant, innovation & tech expert at BNP Paribas Personal Finance has prepared a 5 key trends debrief, only keeping the best of the best. Let’s start and discover the 5 top trends!

Copilot

Referencing to the Microsoft AI software, copilot is already a common word, used by all in the tech sphere. True revolution, Copilot from Microsoft promise to be the colleague we all dreamed of about for so long. But, will all our colleagues be virtual? Not yet, but it is very possible that a new member join your team: a conversational agent that will assist your team in your day-to-day job. Huge time saver and efficiency maker, being copiloted or assisted by a conversational agent will become our routine, if it is not the case yet.

Xeno, a britain startup, already works with AFP journalists and help them in their daily tasks. With their impressive demo, it goes without saying that the benefits are proven and we easily understand how their chatbot will effectively support the team.

Video

Present everywhere in the vast majority of every digital communication, video is the preferred format to communicate. And yet, it consumes time and money. This is where generative AI has all its cards to play. During our retail debrief, we saw the achievements of the startup Typeface.ai.

In another register, Videobot, a Luxembourg startup made its effect during the show. Their goal? Re-humanize the chatbot. By replacing impersonal chatbots with videobots, the startup wants to create human links, via artificial intelligence. Always more fun to talk to a human than a robot, even if, ultimately, it is a robot that will choose the response of the human who plays the role of messenger only, and not creator.

Cohort

Let’s continue with a favorite of our expert on the startup Cohort. Already present at the NRF, the startup continues to impress the curious who flock to its stand, presented by Orange. Cohort, specialized in Web3 marketing, re-enacts customer spaces by offering new experiences to consumers. Cohort recently raised 3.2 million euros to continue the deployment of its marketing solution, based on NFTs.

Generative AI

Of course, you will understand that generative AI is everywhere at once, in different forms, meeting different objectives. It is therefore logical that it constitutes our 4th trend of this global debrief.

Information system & energy footprint

Finally, all this enthusiasm and this declination of use of generative artificial intelligence in particular, is very energy intensive. To overcome this, many startups are tackling these new problems related to safety and ecology in order to frame these new practices. It remains to be seen whether artificial intelligence will be governed by humans, or by artificial intelligence itself? See you next year for answers.

Software obsolescence, spare parts prices, compulsive purchases, lack of information or even lack of maintenance…

While 85% of French people plan to repair their broken products, only 30% actually do so: a gap justified by a repair that is sometimes more expensive than buying a new product! This perceived or real cost is an obvious obstacle to repair, even though it makes it possible to extend the life of products, limit the exploitation of new resources and therefore contribute to preserving the planet.

To reverse this trend and support the evolution of French consumers’ consumption habits, ADEME, the Agency for Ecological Transition, has set up several levers of action that aim to improve the life cycle of products, particularly electrical and electronic products, by making repair more accessible to all.

In this episode of On The Way

In this episode of On The Way, Raphaël Guastavi, Deputy Director of Circular Economy at ADEME, explains how ADEME has emphasized the need to produce and consume differently, by prioritizing sobriety and the preservation of resources.

First of all, he shares with us his career, marked from the beginning by a sensitivity for the environment and ecology. And how, from a specialization in the study of household waste and its treatment within local authorities, it is now working on a national scale to reduce the environmental impact of households and businesses.

Between Repair funds, Reuse funds, repair bonuses and QualiRépar approved repairers; Raphaël explains how ADEME contributes to supporting the French in reducing their environmental impacts through the circular economy by promoting reuse and repair.

An inspiring podcast for those who aspire to a more responsible and sustainable consumption, available on all your favorite listening platforms!

Enjoy!
