The drama between New York TikTokers Halley Kate, Sophia La Corte, and Reed Williams continues to brew online.

The drama first began back in December 2023, when Sophia and Reed sparked dating rumors, one month after he split from Halley in November 2023. Halley later reacted to the news in a slew of since-deleted TikTok videos. In one TikTok, Halley appeared to reference Sophia and Reed's date, noting her disappointment that her friend considered going on a date with her ex-boyfriend, according to a screen recording shared by a fan.

Following the initial drama, Halley and Reed quietly got back together. However, the drama was reignited after Reed’s appearance on a since-deleted episode of Delusional Diaries in August, where fans noted that he looked disinterested during the conversation with Halley.

Shortly after, Sophie shared her side of the story in a three-part TikTok series titled “how I got canceled by a girl I met maybe three times." In the video series, she shared that she and Halley were not “close friends” like Halley claimed in her previous TikTok videos and that Reed allegedly planned their date “a week before I happened to run into her at a work event.”

Here's everything to know about the love triangle drama between Sophia, Halley, and Reed.

Sophia, Halley, and Reed are all influencers based in New York, with Halley and Sophia known for content focused on fashion, lifestyle, entertainment, and more.

Halley co-hosts the Delusional Diaries podcast with her best friend Jaz. Each episode typically covers “dating, friendships, hot takes and more.” On the podcast, Halley previously addressed the drama between her and Sophia and said the situation was “hurtful” for her.

Meanwhile, Sophia hosts the Out of Touch podcast with Brad Mondo, which covers similar topics. She previously addressed the drama on her podcast, saying that she “would never stab one of my friends in the back” and that she and Halley were never close friends.

When did the drama between Sophia, Halley and Reed start?

The drama first started after Reed and Halley broke up in November 2023. Halley posted about the split on TikTok on Nov. 13 and said she had “truly never felt the pain like this and my heart goes out to anyone who feels anything even slightly similar.”

On Dec. 2, a Reddit user claimed that they spotted Reed and Sophia on a date together, which sparked rumors that the two began dating only days after she and Halley met at another influencer event.

As rumors circulated about Sophia and Reed, Halley posted several since-deleted TikTok videos in response. In one of the videos, she called out "homie hopping" and said she "wanted to handle [everything] offline" and had "texted [Sophia] multiple times" but she didn't respond to her, per screen recordings shared by fans on TikTok.

Halley further addressed the situation on an episode of the Delusional Diaries podcast on Dec. 3 and reiterated the situation between her, Reed and Sophia.

“This just hurts me really bad because I also don't want to hurt him in turn by having to make this a public thing,” she explained. “It was shocking just in general that he would be on a date because when we broke up, he did tell me he didn't think I was the love of his life. But he also [said]...  ‘I need to be single right now [and] I have a lot I need to do on my own.”

Halley and Reed ended up getting back together months after the drama unfolded. While the couple did not confirm the exact date they got back together, Halley posted a TikTok with him on April 5 captioned "didn't you break up!?" She began posting other content with him on her Instagram in May 2024.

The couple were featured in a since-deleted episode of Delusional Diaries in August, where Reed opened up about why he decided to break up with Halley in the first place, per screen recordings of the episode shared on TikTok.

“When we first got together, it was fast-paced and we kind of met and started dating right away,” he explained in the clip. “When it started getting really serious between us, I just needed to take a step back and just do my own thing. I learned a lot about myself at that time… I just realized I’m a better person around her and she makes me happier than anyone else has. And I didn’t want to lose her.”

The episode sparked backlash with fans urging Halley to leave Reed after his dry responses and interactions with her. Halley posted a TikTok alluding to the situation on Aug. 18 and said “I used to come on and be so excited to check my comments and now I dread opening my phone and reading lies, rumors, & hate.”

"This app has given me everything good in my life and I’m so grateful for it and all of you!!!” she continued. “But I feel defeated sometimes if I’m being honest.”

What has Sophia said about the drama?

Sophia first addressed the situation on an episode of the Out of Touch podcast on Jan. 25 and said she “would never stab one of my friends in the back” and that “I defend other women."

Sophia also said that she didn’t know who Halley was and that she “was never friends with her.”

After the Delusional Diaries podcast episode with Halley and Reed, Sophia posted her own response in a three-part TikTok on Aug. 18, where she addressed what happened between her and Reed. Sophia once again reiterated that she and Halley were never close friends and claimed that Reed planned their date “a week before I happened to run into [Halley} at a work event.”

“By no means am I laughing at her,” she clarified. “I totally get being upset over a man, I understand how bad it can hurt. I’m just laughing because none of that happened.” She concluded the posts by saying, “I think I realized [Reed] was maybe not the one for me, and [the relationship] kind of just dwindled.”

In another TikTok posted Aug. 20, Sophia directly addressed the backlash, noting that she thought Reed was single when they went on a date. "I guess the paparazzi cared and was commenting on his ex-girlfriend's stuff," she said.

She then shared a screenshot of the text Halley sent her after she found out about the date. "I'm so sorry I didn't know you owned him," she said in response to the text. "He wasn't wearing a collar." Sophia insisted that "everyone in the situation was single" and that "there was no overlap" at the time.

She added that it was fair for her to share her side of the story as Halley was the one who "brought it online" first. "I just feel like you did all that online, and now you're back together with him but you still all want me dead," she continued. "He went on the date too." She then concluded her response and said that "if anyone owed her any loyalty, it would be him," in the situation since "they were the ones that dated for nine months."

What has Halley said about the drama?

Following the backlash from the deleted episode of Delusional Diaries, Halley posted her side of the situation on Sept. 1. In the video, Halley began by saying she refused "to allow someone to drag my name through the mud and manipulate a story that was truly one of the most hurtful things that has happened to me."

Halley revealed that she and Sophia had "hung out in influencer and non-influencer settings" and even went on a trip to Houston together. "We know each other," she said. "I never thought or claimed she was a 'super close' friend that owes me a lot of loyalty." Halley then explained that after she had been "vulnerable online" about her initial breakup with Reed back in November 2023, "Sophia saw that video [and] went on Instagram... and found Reed's Instagram and messaged him."

The day before their initial date, Halley claimed that she saw Sophia at another event where "she came up to me and told me how much she loved me, how she had the best time with me in Houston and... was just being really sweet." She added that after the event, they went to the bar and hung out.

The Saturday morning after Sophia's date with Reed, Halley said multiple people reached out to her, noting that the "drama pages were making videos about it and her comments were flooded" before she could say anything online. Halley then took "full accountability" for the video she initially posted, saying it was her "heartbroken reaction" and that she "never should've brought it online."

Halley clarified that it was "never about the date, but it was about everything [else] and all the context that surrounds [the drama]." She did clarify that she held Reed accountable offline and didn't want to "get into the nitty gritty" of why she chose to forgive him.

Halley ended the video by saying, "We all need to move on from this." She also asked her viewers to not "send hate to [Sophia]" and told people to "stop picking teams," noting that "no one deserves hate from this situation."
