U.S. Commission on Civil Rights
The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights is an independent fact-finding agency of the federal Executive Branch whose mission is to assist in the development of national civil rights policy and to enhance enforcement of federal civil rights laws. It pursues this mission by studying alleged deprivations of voting rights and alleged discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, or national origin, or in the administration of justice. The U.S. Department of Education (U.S. DOE)
The U.S. Department of Education maintains a complaint process on its website for civil rights violations for programs receiving Federal funds from the U.S. DOE. This includes all state education agencies, elementary and secondary school systems, colleges and universities, vocational schools, proprietary schools, state vocational rehabilitation agencies, libraries, and museums that receive U.S. DOE funds.
