What do last-minute tickets cost to see the Savannah Bananas in 2024?

Savannah Bananas “baseball” has it all.

In addition to playing America’s pastime, the Georgia-based team also brings humor, musicality, and theatrics to each and every game.

Take, for example, their recent contest at Washington, D.C.’s Nationals Field. The squad 1) made a human pyramid, 2) sang —and performed a choreographed dance — to Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop” to give Eric Jones’ walkup a bit of flair, and 3) star Robert Anthony Cruz had his dad accompany him to home plate before his first at-bat to celebrate the three-year anniversary of the Nationals drafting him.

We didn’t even mention that they had U.S. Women’s National Team stars face off against one another in a play that ended with an attempted barehanded backflip catch.

Simply put, there’s no other franchise in all of professional sports putting on a spectacle quite like the Bananas.

Plus, they make sure to pay their respects to the MLB — former icons like Johnny Damon, Barry Zito, Jake Peavy, Hunter Pence, and Bill “Spaceman” Lee have all suited up for the team in years past.

And, if you want to see their incomparable brand of Banana ball, tickets are available for all 25 of their remaining games this season — including their biggies at Cleveland’s Progressive Field on Aug. 10, Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park on Sept. 21 and Miami’s LoanDepot Park on Oct. 12.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets was $167 before fees on Vivid Seats.

All other games have seats starting anywhere from $192 from $5400 before fees.

Yes, we know those are World Series prices but the Bananas deliver World Series-level entertainment.

Curious if they’re headed to your neck of the woods?

About the Savannah Bananas

After forming in 2016, the “exhibition barnstorming baseball team” made a name for themselves by embracing “exhibition” and “barnstorming” while halfway ditching “baseball.”

The team now plays banana ball which has quirky rules like foul balls caught by fans count as outs, games cannot exceed two hours in length and batters are allowed to steal first base.

That’s barely scratching the surface of the game’s showmanship.

Simply put, we recommend following Savannah’s Instagram to see what hijinx the entertaining team is up to.

Savannah Party Animals

As you may have noticed, most games will find the Bananas squaring off against their cherished rival, the Party Animals.

Also based out of Savannah, the team is evenly matched with the Bananas.

“I think there are some guys that are obvious fits for the Bananas, and some guys that are obvious fits for the Party Animals,” coach Nate Fish told Savannah Now following team tryouts.

“We need the games to be really competitive. We can’t load up one team. It’s not like the (Harlem) Globetrotters and the (Washington Generals). The games aren’t scripted. The games are highly competitive. Anyone can win. We have to take a look at balance to do that.”
