Robert Purdy start als Chief IT Officer bij Odido
Vanaf 1 juli 2024 start Robert Purdy officieel als de nieuwe Chief IT Officer (CIO) bij Odido. Hij zet het werk voort van Lotta Gunnarsson, die heeft besloten terug te keren naar Zweden en haar functie neer te leggen. Purdy vervulde de rol al op interim basis sinds 1 mei.
Met zijn jarenlange ervaring in de telecommunicatie is Robert Purdy geen onbekende in de sector. Hij vervulde verschillende functies op hoog niveau bij Truespeed, British Telecom Group, EE, O2 en Orange en heeft uitgebreide kennis van de complexe wereld van IT. Purdy heeft een bewezen staat van dienst als het gaat om het bedenken van innovatieve technologische oplossingen in combinatie met een pragmatische implementatie.

Vorig jaar besloot Odido de rol van de Chief Technology & Information Officer opnieuw te definiëren. Gezien de hoge prioriteit van zowel de netwerken als de IT-systemen voor de continuïteit en groei van Odido's activiteiten, verdeelt het bedrijf de verantwoordelijkheden over 2 directeuren – 1 voor netwerken en 1 voor IT. Purdy zal aan het hoofd staan van de IT-afdeling en als niet-statutair directeur deelnemen aan het Executive Committee (ExCo).

Robert Purdy starts as Chief IT Officer at Odido
As of 1 July 2024, Robert Purdy will officially start as the new Chief IT Officer (CIO) at Odido. He continues the work of Lotta Gunnarsson, who has decided to move back to Sweden and step down from her position. Purdy already filled the role on an interim basis since 1 May.
With many years of experience in telecommunication, Robert Purdy is no stranger to our industry. He fulfilled various high-level positions at Truespeed, British Telecom Group, EE, O2 and Orange, and has extensive knowledge about the complex world of IT. Purdy has a proven track record of devising innovative technology solutions combined with a pragmatic implementation.

Last year, Odido decided to redefine the role of the Chief Technology & Information Officer. Given the high priority of both our networks and IT systems for the continuity and growth of Odido's business, the company allocates the responsibilities between to 2 directors – one for networks and one for IT. Purdy will be heading the IT department and will participate in the executive committee (ExCo) as a non-statutory company director.
