Lutz previously served as CEO of Virgin Media from June 2019 to May 2021, after spending ten months as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Lutz is also a member of the Liberty Global Executive Leadership Team.

Prior to his time at Virgin Media, Lutz was CEO of Unity Media, a position he held from January 2011. While at Unity Media, he played a key role in the acquisition of Kabel BW by Liberty Global and the subsequent integration of both companies. He served in several senior management roles with the Telefónica O2 group from 1998 onwards, lastly leading the integration of Hansenet Telekommunication GmbH as its CEO in Hamburg, when it was acquired by Telefónica O2 in early 2010.

From 2006 to 2010, he was Managing Director, Marketing & Sales for Telefónica O2 in Germany.

Before joining Telefónica O2 in 1998, he worked as a product manager with T-Mobile.

In 2016, Patricia was appointed to the Board of Directors as the Chief Financial Officer for Telefónica UK Limited, having previously been the Strategy & Transformation Director since September 2014.

Prior to this, Patricia led the post-merger integration planning of Telefónica Deutschland with ePlus through to deal completion.

In her previous role as the Director for Business Development in Telefónica Europe, she led strategy, marketing innovation and played a key role in strategic partnerships, spectrum auctions, infrastructure sharing deals and M&A in the region. She joined the Telefónica Group in 2006 as VP Strategy and Development for Telefónica Europe. Patricia also sat on the Supervisory Board, Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG for a number of years.

Before joining Telefónica, she was a consultant with the TMT and Corporate Finance practices of McKinsey & Company, working with clients in Europe, Latin America and the US.

Christian is responsible for the commercial performance of the O2, Virgin Media and giffgaff which includes defining consumer & brand strategy, designing customer centric products and propositions, executing marketing & communication activities as well as implementing digital transformation for all commercial activities. He is also responsible for overseeing the execution of the company’s three-year strategic plan.

Christian formerly held the position of Chief Commercial Officer of German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland responsible for customer growth, customer and product management, customer experience, pricing and offering, marketing and communication and helped Sky in Germany to successfully navigate through Covid, regaining consumers trust and diversifying its content offering.

Previously Christian was CCO with Liberty Global’s cable operator Unitymedia for eight years until the asset was sold to Vodafone Germany in 2019, tripling its value from 2012. Between 2006 and 2012 Christian held various senior leadership roles in O2 Germany in sales and marketing. 

A passionate cyclist and still active in basketball, Christian lives with his wife Sonja and his 3 boys Lenny, Linus and Luis in the surroundings of Munich.

Jo is responsible for providing services to our large enterprise, public sector, and small business customers, as well as our wholesale and MVNO partners.

Jo was a member of the Executive Team for Telefónica (O2) UK Limited from April 2018 when she joined as Chief Digital & Strategy Officer. She was then appointed Managing Director for O2 Business in August 2019 and held this position until May 2021.

Prior to joining O2, Jo was the Regional General Manager for Northern Europe operations at Uber, covering the UK, Ireland, Nordics, Baltics and Benelux. She managed the launch of Uber in over 40 cities and towns beyond London and its entry into Ireland, Finland, Denmark and Norway. She has also been an Executive in Residence at EQT Ventures. Jo has more than eight years of management consultancy experience, having worked for both McKinsey and Accenture.

Julie has extensive experience within the telecoms sector and in delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK.

Most recently Julie held the role of CEO at Egg, which was launched in 2022 by Liberty Global Ventures, the investment arm of Liberty Global, to offer consumers and businesses a range of de-carbonising technology solutions including at-home electric vehicle charging, solar power and battery storage. This followed on from Julie’s role as Chief Operating Officer of Liberty Global Energy Ventures from the end of 2021.

Before this Julie spent 20 years at Virgin Media, latterly as the Executive Director of Construction & Delivery, extending the reach of the company’s broadband network through its major Project Lightning programme.

Julie spent two years with Kingston Communications in East Yorkshire as a Client Services Director from 2000 before joining Telewest as Head of Contact Centres which later merged with NTL and then became Virgin Media in 2007.

Jeanie previously held the role of Chief Technology and Information Officer for Virgin Media from January 2019 to May 2021.

Before joining Liberty Global, Jeanie held various senior management positions at Qwest and CenturyLink over a period of 15 years. Jeanie has 22 years’ experience in leading telco and cable business strategy, network planning, engineering, technology development and operations.

Jeanie is a member of the Telecoms Diversification Advisory Council, providing ongoing advice to the UK Government on telecoms diversification, Women in Cable Telecommunications (UK chapter) and she is also involved with Child Advocates – Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

Roy is responsible for Data, Product, Digital Platforms and Technology Planning across the Virgin Media and O2 brands.

Roy joined Virgin Media in 2019 as Director of Transformation, he then took on the role of Executive Director of Digital Transformation. After playing a key role in the merger of Virgin Media and O2, Roy then took on the role of Director of Value Creation and Operations leading cross-company strategic initiatives and most recently has double-hatted as the Director of Digital Platforms.

Before joining Virgin Media, Roy has worked in strategy and specialised in transformation, restructuring and performance improvement across multiple industries including telecoms, energy and shipping. Roy also ran his own business and successfully sold it in 2017.

His career has spanned multiple geographies within the Telefónica Group, including four years as Chief Technology Officer for O2 UK and Vice President of Network Access & Transport and Network Co-ordination in O2 Germany, from 2008 to 2011. His experience with Movistar (a company owned by Telefónica S.A.), included Mobile Planning, Network Access, and Quality Assurance between 1998 and 2007.
