Sky News Radio
Sky News supplies the national and international news, sport, business and entertainment news to almost every commercial radio station in the UK.
The service began in 1999, and received a significant boost in 2009 when it won the contract to supply the IRN network of radio stations.
More than 280 stations make up the network, including well-known brands such as Absolute Radio, Capital, Classic, Heart, Magic, LBC, Smooth and talkSPORT, and between them they have a weekly audience of more than 34 million.
A dedicated team of radio journalists based at Sky Centre in London write, report, produce and read the news and sport 24-hours a day.
The copy and audio is sent directly to radio newsrooms, or stations can choose to opt in to the hourly bulletin.
The radio team has its own high-spec studio facilities at Sky News' Millbank operation in Westminster for producing live and recorded interviews, reports and features.
It also draws upon Sky News' considerable news-gathering resources to cover the biggest stories at home and abroad, and has the ability to opt into the live TV output in the event of a major breaking story.
Sky News Radio has a big commitment to sports coverage, providing match day summaries from all English Premier League football games and other major fixtures.
It also reports on the big events in cricket, rugby and other popular sports including the Wimbledon tennis championships.
Sky News Radio is heard around the world via its bulletins on the Sky News website, the Sky News app, and through supplying radio stations abroad including in South Africa and Bermuda.
It also supplies digital content such as news stories in text and video to all the IRN radio station websites.
