Forbes magazine recently released its list of “America’s Top Colleges 2021,”and Rhodes is ranked 179th out of only 600 colleges and universities in the country that made the cut.
Rather than publishing its annual rankings in 2020, Forbes took the year to revise its methodology, which is based on factors including academic success, graduation rate, alumni salary, retention rate, student debt, return on investment, and the Forbes American Leaders list.
“We are honored to receive national recognition for the quality education that Rhodes provides,” says Interim Vice President for Enrollment Lee Ann Backlund. “Rhodes is a community where intellectual curiosity and responsibility are fostered to make the world better and where students thrive, graduate, and find success in their chosen fields.”
In addition, Rhodes is one of a very few prominent liberal arts colleges located in a major metropolitan area, and it has strong partnerships with local organizations ranging from world-class hospitals to nonprofit organizations to Fortune 500 companies such as FedEx and AutoZone.
