In The Halls Where She Nodded Nearly Napping
There was a hiss, a roar, and then a wave of cheers. Morta sat with her legs crossed in her elliptical amphitheater, staring over the liquid sands of the Colosseum. A string of purple grapes lay across her shoulder. She popped a fruit in her mouth, chewing slowly, fixated on the mock naval battle.

DeviantArt’s current beta testing program launched in September of 2023, replacing the old beta testing program that had been in place for two decades. The username symbol tied to the previous beta testing program is officially being retired, and deviants who still have the symbol will receive a commemorative profile badge in its place.
Thank you to all previous and current beta testers for helping make DeviantArt a better place! If you want to join the beta testing program, add the journal to your favourites so you can be involved in future tests.

Do you want to customize your profile on DeviantArt? Whether you’re trying to personalize your space for the first time or have been decorating your profile for years, here are some tips and tricks to make your profile feel like home.
Theme Is Everything
To start personalizing your Profile, first come up with an idea for the overall vibe you want it to have. This can range from simply selecting a color palette based on colors you like (or artwork in your Gallery) to deciding what backgrounds you want to use to add interesting elements to your Profile. Go with whatever suits your vision!
How to Customize

Adding a Profile cover image is a great starting point for all deviants, and it’s easy to do!
When creating a cover image for your Profile, the recommended dimensions are 1600 pixels by 800 pixels and 1920x1080 resolution at minimum, so the image fits well and appears clearly for all viewers.

Manage and Schedule Journal Drafts in Studio
Journal drafts are joining the party in the Studio! Previously, unfinished drafts of journals could only be found in the Posts tab on your Profile, but with this and a few other quality-of-life improvements, Studio is the one-stop place to manage needs of both your visual and written deviation drafts!
Manage Journal Drafts
In the Drafts section of your Studio, navigate to the "Journals" tab at the top, right next to "Media" and "Literature," and make any edits you need. Journal drafts are still available in their previous home in Profile > Posts > and selecting "Drafts" from the dropdown.
Schedule Journals
As with other types of content, you can now schedule journal drafts through your Studio. Simply go to Drafts > Journals > Click the “...” on the far right of the draft > Select "Schedule," and set your preferred publish time. You can also bulk schedule by checking the boxes to the left of each item and selecting from the "Edit" menu.

He came bobbing up and down the road, struggling ferociously with his balance, mastering his runaway bike, quite the challenge on the severely uneven ground. I approached, encumbered with all the necessities for an emergency picnic, since out of the blue it finally stopped raining – and halted long enough for one to swiftly gather the bare necessities and gallop, as quick as one can, to the lake side. The locals, each, gave what to their minds were very clear instructions as to how to get there, but to me the situation was not so clear: various reports of secret pathways, more than plenty of growth and new growth after the rain and the plant life cheerfully shot many feet up, successfully covering everything beyond it except for the blue, blue sky. In short – I got lost. Maybe not so much
