I've subscribed to DA in its early years, probably around 2002, at first it was the place where I went looking for desktop wallpapers for my always evolving Slackware Linux KDE customizations. I did not use my account for anything more than that, or maybe I posted some "spray art" paintings, like this (that's not mine, that's one of the first results I got looking for the same kind of paintings I used to do).DA went slowly into oblivion until 2006-2007, when I picked up my first digital camera and started to take some pictures. Back in those days, I used a Sony DSC-F828, and processed my photos with Picasa and Aperture on my first Mac. I u...

Hey fellas,I just arrived at home like an hour ago. I spent the weekend with my cosplay group White Flag Mafia, including :iconnachtphantom:, :iconbibbl3000: and :iconisi-yuri: and some other guys who don't have dA. We primarily met up to attend AniMuc together yesterday. Nachtphantom cosplayed Howl from Howl's Moving Castle and Bibbl, Isi and me were cosplaying from Hetalia as Greece, N. Italy and England. We had some other friends tagging along as well, but we mostly stayed separated. I had tons of fun, the merchandise hall was so crowded and there was so much stuff that I ended up buying almost nothing. Kinda overwhelming, hehe.
And I w...
Friends,I've just logged into this account for the first time in... years.
And I thought it would maybe be appropriate to leave a message here, since I left kind of suddenly and never came back.
Nothing big happened. It's just life. I've been cosplaying for almost 20 years now and my free years are long since over. It was an easy and fun thing to do during my years at university, also during working on my PhD. But not anymore. I'm a management consultant for some years now and I just don't have the time to continue what I did for many years. Or rather: I do have the time, but after work I'm just too exhausted. I stopped doing many things ...
It's shocking. Those who only follow me here on DA haven't heard from me since summer! How can that be?Fact is: I had a lot to do. I didn't do a lot of new shootings in the last months. Actually we were only filming our newest COSPLAY MUSIC VIDEO! You can view it HERE: You're My Dream <- I really think it's our best work so far! How do you like it? Please leave a message and tell us! We'd appreciate it!2014 is almost over and it was the cosplay-less year in a decade. But so much has happened, me finishing my PhD and working a lot, getting around a lot... those who follow me on Twitter will know! What, you don't follow my Twitter yet? ...
Hello friends,I'm usually not posting personal stuff on dA anymore (see my Twitter for daily life babble), but there's something major I want to share with all of you. Those following me for a bit longer might still remember that I was working towards my doctorate during the recent 2-3 years. Well, I'm done! I achieved my Ph.D. with A-grades and was awarded with MAGNA CUM LAUDE (latin for 'with great praise'). That means I'm now officially a doctor (not in medicine, if you might wonder)! How amazing is that?Thank you everyone who followed me during the years! We somehow made it there together - so please fell hugged! Thank you for your s...
