nana music, Inc. (“Our Company”) places importance on personal information protection. Our Company will ensure the protection of Members’ personal information by complying with Act on the Protection of Personal Information as well as its own privacy policy (“this privacy policy”). Terms not defined by this privacy policy will have the same definition as defined by the Terms of Use for nana.

1. Definition of Personal information

In this privacy policy, personal information means personal information defined in Act on the Protection of Personal Information, that is, information related to existing individual that could identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, and other description, etc. (including information that could easily be collated with other information and as a result could identify a specific individual)

Excluding the cases where permitted by Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and ordinances, Our Company will not utilize collected personal information beyond the scope of utilization purpose without Members’ permission except following circumstances.

  • In cases where based upon laws and ordinances.
  • In cases where it is necessary to protect a person’s life, body or property, and it is difficult to take permission from the Member.
  • In cases where it is necessary to cooperate with national or local governmental organizations or its representatives to execute certain tasks that are set forth in laws and ordinances, and taking permission from Members could cause a problem for such execution.

5. Collecting Personal information

Our Company will collect personal information properly, and will not collect them through fraudulent or other unlawful means.

6. Safe Management of Personal information

Our Company will properly supervise our own staff members to ensure safe management of personal information against potential risks such as loss, destruction, falsification or leaking of personal information. In case of outsourcing, Our Company will properly supervise the outsourced company to ensure safe management of personal information at such company.

7. Provision of Collected Personal information to Third Party

Our Company will not provide any of our Member’s personal information to third party without permission of the Member except the cases in which Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws or ordinances permit such disclosure; provide, however, that cases specified below are deemed not to constitute provision to third party.

  • In cases where based upon laws and ordinances.
  • In cases where it is necessary to protect a person’s life, body or property, and it is difficult to take permission from the Member.
  • In cases where it is necessary to cooperate with national or local governmental organizations or its representatives to execute certain tasks offset forth in laws and ordinances, and taking permission from Members could cause a problem for such execution.
  • In cases where Our Company utilizes or processes statistical information (including provision to third party).
  • In cases where merger and acquisition or other business succession occurs.
  • In cases where disclosure of certain part of personal information to the extent not violating Member’s interest is necessary for Our Company or the third party’s interest.

8. Disclosure of Personal information

Our Company will without delay disclose personal information when a Member claims for disclosure based upon Act on the Protection of Personal Information after our proper identity verification. However, the foregoing may not apply when Our Company is not obligated to disclose such information under Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws or ordinances.

9. Correction of Personal information

Our Company will without delay make correction, addition or deletion (“correction, etc.”) of personal information when a member claims such correction, etc. based upon Act on the Protection of Personal Information. Correction, etc. of personal information will be made after our proper identity verification of the Member and research necessary to the extent required to achieve the utilization purpose. When correction, etc. is made, such Member will be informed. However, the foregoing may not apply when our company is not obliged to make a correction, etc. of personal information under Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws or ordinances.

10. Suspension of Use of Personal Information

Our Company will suspend use of personal information when reasonable allegation based upon Act on the Protection of Personal Information is made by a Member claiming that personal information is (i) used beyond the scope of published utilization purpose or (ii) obtained through fraudulent or other unlawful means, and Our Company considers such allegation is based upon good reasons. Suspension of use of personal information will be made after our proper identity verification of the Member, and such Member will be informed about such suspension. However, the foregoing may not apply when Our Company is not obliged to suspend use of personal information under Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws or ordinances.

11. Personal Information of Members and Users Under the Age of 16

Our Company shall make sure to strictly comply with applicable laws and regulations relevant to the collection, storage, and use of personal information relating to Members under the age of 16. In the event of a child having provided personal information to Our Company without the consent of their parent or guardian, we ask that a parent or guardian contacts us at the address specified in this privacy policy.

12. Use of Cookie and Other Technologies

Services provided by Our Company may use Cookie or other similar technologies. These technologies are beneficial to monitoring and improvement of our Services. Any Members who want to disable Cookie may do so by changing setting of their web browsers. However, such disablement of Cookie could lead to dysfunction of part of our Services.

13. Third Party Advertising and Analytics Services

Our Company collect some anonymous usage information to help us improve the Services provided by Our Company and use Third Party Advertising and Analytics Services (Admob, Google Analytics, Firebase).

The original of this privacy policy shall be in Japanese, and in case of any discrepancies between the original and its translation, the Japanese version shall govern.
