Former American Idol contestant Hollyn is a rising star in the contemporary Christian music scene. • Holly Marie Miller hails from Waverly, Ohio. Her father pastored a small rural church. • She competed on Season 12 of American Idol in 2013, making it as far as the Hollywood rounds. • Christian rap star and DC Talk cofounder TobyMac contacted Hollyn’s father to ask if he could collaborate with the young singing sensation. Hollyn guested on TobyMac’s “Lights Shine Bright” and “Backseat Driver”, from his gold-certified, Grammy-winning 2015 album This is Not a Test. • Less than three months after the collaborations, Hollyn released her eponymous debut EP on TobyMac's Goatee Records. The single “Alone” earned tens of millions of streams. • Hollyn’s 2017 debut album, One-Way Conversations, reached No. 6 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart.
