THR3E

THR3E

Mi Casa’s sixth album THR3E is a testament to the powerhouse trio’s enduring spirit, while also announcing the beginning of a new chapter for vocalist and guitarist J’Something, producer/pianist Dr. Duda and trumpeter Mo-T. The core of THR3E is outlined by its empowering messages, underpinned by a sound which finds the trio expanding its genre-based arsenal. Fusing house, jazz and pop, with soul, funk, kizomba and dancehall, the three create deftly textured mixes that ensure they stay at the forefront of musical innovation while appealing to their core audience. Over 10 carefully curated tracks, Mi Casa reaffirm their commitment to their fanbase and to each other, through rousing messages of championing individuality (“ROCK3T”), by attempting to live authentically (“WHO CARES”) and through admitting how good things really do come to those who wait for them (“Found Our Way”). With left-field features from Ghanaian Afro-dancehall maestro Stonebwoy (“Give Me Love”), Cape Verdean Dutch singer Nelson Freitas (“See the World”) and German vocalist Malik Harris (on the album’s first single, “WHO CARES”) to set the tone, Mi Casa prove that after over 13 years together, they’re not shy to experiment in order to stay ahead of the curve.
