Earning awards for best album of the year and and best rap album, the release of Olamide Adedeji's third studio album, 2013's Baddest Guy Ever Liveth, further solidified his reign as the king of indigenous rap. Tracks like “Yemi My Lover” saw him incorporate Igbo slang, while he played with western Nigeria's Ijebu dialect of Yoruba on “Dope Money (feat. Phyno)”, and added touches of jùjú percussion to “Eleda Mi O”. The album, which was the second release from the label he founded, YBNL, “still remains a groundbreaking project for me and very dear to my heart,” Olamide tells Apple Music. “It’s a classic that can never be forgotten.”
