It’s a great day in the neighbourhood for Scott Verrill and Oli Fox—better known as Good Neighbours—as they head up Antidote this week with “Weekend Boy”. The pair first struck a chord while recording as individual singer-songwriters in neighbouring East London studios. Since deciding to merge under one banner in 2023, they’ve cultivated a warm, nostalgic sound that exploded with January breakout hit, “Home”. The new single, a twinkling slice of heartfelt indie pop, closes out their self-titled debut EP (out now). “This song taps into a different side of us,” Verrill tells Apple Music. “We had a string of songs last year that felt super cohesive and nostalgic, but we wanted something to give some light and shade to the EP.
