About Trisha Yearwood
Trisha Yearwood is an award-winning American country music artist who has sold more than 15 million albums. ∙ Inspired by the music of Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, and Patsy Cline, Yearwood dropped out of college to pursue a singing career in Nashville. ∙ She sang backing vocals on Garth Brooks’ Diamond-certified 1990 album, No Fences, which led to a label deal of her own with MCA Records. ∙ Her self-titled 1991 debut produced 4 Top 10 hits, reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, and won her Top New Female Vocalist at the Academy of Country Music Awards. ∙ “In Another’s Eyes,” her 1997 duet with Garth Brooks (who would become her husband in 2005), won a Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals. ∙ Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, her TV cooking show, won a 2013 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Culinary Program. ∙ Yearwood has reached the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart 14 times, including 2019’s Every Girl, which peaked at No. 5.
