In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a kid, my mom would play the Beatles and Fleetwood Mac in the car. We didn’t play music at home, so I was excited to go on a drive. I still love listening to music in the car. I don’t decide if I like one of my songs until I’ve played it driving. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alabama Shakes, Sound & Color Nick Hakim, Green Twins The Velvet Underground, The Velvet Underground Alabama Shakes’ Sound and Color has some of the most original textures and performance. It’s probably my favorite album. Nick Hakim’s Green Twins is an album for any moment. The Velvet Underground’s self-titled was my first LP. I wore out the vinyl! It started as a jam between my friends Sandro, Jon, Luca, and me. We were just having fun. The spirit of that jam lives on in the finished version. It’s a song that I’d throw on when I’m walking down the street in New York.
