Julietta

New York-based indie electronic singer/songwriter Julietta built a reputation on hooky sun-warmed pop with singles like 2017's "Beach Break" and 2018's "Runaway," both of which later appeared on her debut EP Smooth Sailing. A native of the Upper East Side, Julia Libani spent some time cultivating her sound, eventually connecting with producer Jack Goodman during a trip to Los Angeles. Libani convinced her new collaborator to join her on a trip to Nicaragua, where they recorded her low-key but infectious debut single "Beach Break." Released under the name Julietta in February 2017, it was followed over the next year-and-a-half by similarly vibed tracks like "Runaway" and "Hard Love," which led up the release of her first EP, 2018's Smooth Sailing. ~ Timothy Monger
