In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Bath time, 4 or 5 years old, and the tub seems huge! I remember the little thrill of holding my breath, and going underwater. My mom would tap out a rhythm on the side of the tub, and I would do my best to match. Endless joy & a bath time highlight. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Can, Tago Mago (2011 Remastered) Juana Molina, Un Día Nick Drake, Pink Moon Nick Drake was always one of my dads favorites. I'd visit him in the summers and this was on rotation. Even as a young kid something about the tone resonated with me; it was sad but it was knowing. I've loved this record ever since. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Who's Melting” I love who's melting. It's nearly, almost, entirely live. I added some synth afterwards, but the bulk of the track was just me, a drumset, field recordings, and some special music-gear-magic-stuff. It's the modern age. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Filming Live From Blackalachia, the brilliant live convert film by Moses Sumney. We spent a couple weeks rehearsing in Asheville, and filmed the concert over the course of two days in the Appalachian mountains. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I don't believe buckets can hold all of my wants, but that's okay. Buckets aren't meant for lists or dreams anyhow.
