I see it being played during the daytime, following a sleepless night. It’s freaky and energetic, it’s meant to channel your c**ty, unapologetic self. I think it would fit as much wide-open-air gatherings as much as intimate celebrations.” The Paris-based DJ describes the mission of her mix—and DJing, broadly—as creating “an ephemeral space-time where problems are left at the door. A moment to let go of the ‘real world’—a world that is already difficult to navigate in itself, even more if you’re a queer POC—and to reconnect with your community.” “There’s no need to intellectualise club music, as its main function is to have fun. Still, having fun and occupying the space is political when you’re part of a minority. It is time to reclaim our spaces back.”
